About Me

Storytellers tell stories. Writers write. I want to do both.

I’m a 34 year old recently married writer living in San Diego and recently transplanted from LA. A few facts about me: I’m originally from the Midwest (Chicago), I have a film degree from USC, and I’ve written since I could pick up a pencil. I’m also a follower of Christ and I often use this blog to work out some of my thoughts on faith and talk about my spiritual journey.

I hope to use this creative space to discuss my life, random happenings, stories I’ve written, essays, and musings. I love people. I love observing them and what they do, coming up with thoughts and ideas about who they are and where they are going. I love working out the messyness that is life and doing so in a forthcoming transparent way.

Recently, this blog has become a testing ground for me as I’m writing a book on what it looks like to love people despite the costs.  I often cover the topics of relationships, dating, breaking up, risk, friendship, and sacrificial love in community. I hope I grow through writing it and that whoever reads it will enjoy it and hopefully take something away from it that can be beneficial. Please feel free to leave comments. I love them and would love if this could become a conversation rather than a monologue.

Happy Reading!
